Finally, a scheme that befits the beauty of a Macintosh
...from my eyes anyway.
The Alfresco is fundamentally a System-8-like design that has been tweaked to reflect the exterior beauty of past and present Macintoshes.
If you like to improve on (ie borrow bits of) Alfresco, please feel free to do so... with the proper acknowledgement of course. Let me know about it too.
Enjoy!

Design Concept
The title bar mimics the CD slot. The mesh within the slot is inspired by the grills on the PowerBook 1400. The default button ring is designed to follow the shadows around a Mac keyboard. The scroll bars continue the theme set by the title bar. The scroll box reflects the array of holes found in every desktop Mac lately (ie in front of the speakers I think). The rest of the design, well, they come from my instincts.
Revision History
1.0.1 - 13 October 1997
Fixed a few 'bugs' with BW versions. Cleaned up a few pixels on the scroll bars and default button ring. Added accent colours. Slightly rounded all buttons... I think they look better anyway. If you don't like them, hmm, you'll have to stick to version 1.0 (or hack this version I guess).
